Richard Schwenka, Kearney County Supervisor received the 2021 Outstanding County Board Member of the Year award at the County Board Workshop in Kearney NE on June 10.

County Official of the Year Award

Keith Buschow, Webster County Commissioner was honored by the Nebraska Association of County Officials as the 2020 County Official of the Year during the Virtual NACO Business Meeting on December 10, 2020.  Commissioner Buschow has served Webster County for sixteen years.   Keith is pictured receiving his award from NACO Executive Director, Larry Dix.

Sandy Zoubek, Stanton County Treasurer was selected for the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award for her service to her community and involvement with NACO for 25 years or more.   (picture will come at later date)

Next Generation Award

Two county officials received the 2020 NACO Next Generation Award for showing a promising future by being actively involved in their affiliate groups and by showing a strong interest in the development of NACO through leadership and education.  Presenting the awards to Amanda Bartek-Young, Richardson County Treasurer and Megan Zoucha, Nance County Assessor is Jon Cannon, NACO Deputy Director

Awarded to any elected or appointed county official currently holding office that has modeled leadership by example and has contributed to county government and local community activities both personally and professionally.

Awarded to County Board Members who have been in office for at least four (4) terms, have been active on regional boards, been chairman of their county board, participated in the legislative process, and appointed to a statewide committee. They also will have regularly attended NACO educational opportunities, events and meetings.
